The Wealth Checker is a public educational tool that helps you compare your net wealth and income snapshot against aggregated Rask community cohorts.
Where to use it
- Open the tool at rask.au/wealth-checker.
What you enter
SingleorCouple- Age
- Gender benchmark profile
- Assets: super, cash, shares/ETFs, property, crypto/bitcoin, business value, other
- Debts: property debt, business debt, personal debt, other debt
- Your own yearly income before tax (salary + other income, excluding your partner’s)
- First name and email (to send your summary)
You can add extra rows for property debt and business debt, and the tool totals each category automatically.
For Single, net wealth is your assets minus your debts. Your own yearly income is used as entered.
For Couple, enter both partners’ combined assets and debts, including superannuation and individually held balances. Household net wealth is assets minus debts; the wealth comparison uses half that amount, assuming an equal split. Enter your own age, gender profile and yearly income before tax. Your income is used as entered, without dividing it by two. The report keeps household wealth totals visible and labels the comparison separately. Debt to income uses half the household debt divided by your own yearly income. This is a comparison estimate, not a statement of legal ownership or a measure of the household’s repayment capacity.
For example, $1,000,000 in household assets minus $400,000 in household debts gives $600,000 in household net wealth and $300,000 per person for comparison. If your own yearly income is $100,000, the income comparison uses $100,000.
Choose Show me where I sit to open the name and email form, then select Email me my results. Once your submission is accepted, a confirmation shows your name and email address. After three seconds, your report opens on the same page. If the submission fails, the form stays open so you can retry. The report preview in the form is an illustrative example.
